Systeme.io vs Kajabi 2026: Can $0 Really Compete With $149?

Kajabi is the premium all-in-one platform; Systeme.io is the budget one. On paper they do the same things — courses, email, funnels, memberships — but the price gap is enormous: Kajabi starts at $149/month while Systeme.io has a genuinely usable $0 plan. So is the premium worth it? Here’s my honest 2026 comparison.

Price comparison

  • Kajabi: $149/month (Basic), $199/month (Growth), $399/month (Pro). Annual billing gets you ~2 months free. No free tier — just a 14-day trial.
  • Systeme.io: $0 (Free), $17/month (Startup), $47/month (Webinar), $97/month (Unlimited). Annual billing = 2 months free + free migration.

One year of Kajabi Basic (~$1,488) buys you 15 years of Systeme’s Startup plan. Even at Systeme’s most expensive tier, a year is $960 — still $528 cheaper than Kajabi’s entry plan.

What Kajabi does better

  • Design and polish. Kajabi’s page builder and templates genuinely look like a premium product. If brand aesthetics are core to your business, this matters.
  • Video experience. Course video delivery and player quality are excellent out of the box.
  • Reliability and support. Kajabi is older, bigger, and its support is faster. For mission-critical launches, that’s real insurance.
  • Built-in analytics and pipelines feel complete. Less DIY, more “it just works.”

What Systeme.io does better

  • Price — by a mile. Free to start, $17 to go pro. The risk of trying it is zero.
  • Affiliate center included. You can run your own affiliate program for your courses without add-ons. Kajabi has affiliate features on higher tiers only.
  • No transaction fees. Kajabi doesn’t charge transaction fees either (that’s a point in both their favors), but Systeme matches it at a fraction of the price.
  • Blog + CRM included. Systeme bundles a blog and basic CRM; Kajabi’s blog is newer and more limited.

My recommendation

If you have a healthy budget and want the most polished, lowest-friction experience, Kajabi is still the premium choice — no shame in that. But if you’re starting out, testing an idea, or simply don’t want to pay $1,500/year before you’ve made your first sale, start with Systeme.io’s free plan. You can always migrate to Kajabi later (and Systeme’s annual plans even include free migration help — the reverse, unfortunately, isn’t true).

For most creators in 2026, my honest advice is: grow on Systeme, graduate to Kajabi only if you hit its limits. Most people never do.
